Why would my guitar need adjusting?
Eventually, all guitars will need some form of maintenance. This could range anywhere from a
slight adjustment of the neck truss rod to a complete neck reset. Even new guitars still on the music
store wall might need “setting-up” (adjustment) to optimize its playability and sound.
This doesn’t mean the instrument doesn’t play well at the moment – but it could play better
if a little work is put into it. That said, how a guitar plays is a matter of individual taste. One guitarist
may want a high action (string height) while another will go for the lowest action possible.
